Pampa Animal Shelter Going Up for Vote

PAMPA -- In one week, Pampa voters will decide whether to approve funding for a new animal shelter.
    
The May 12th ballot will include a proposition for the new shelter, at the cost of 2.9-millions dollars.    
Shelter workers say they've heard oposition because of the cost.
    
But they say cheaper facilities will become out-dated quickly.
     
They say a new shelter is a matter of safety.
    
Workers say it's also an issue of their safety.
    
They say a new facility will cut back on bites, and spread of disease.
