Green Bay, Wis. (WFRV) Madison businessman and Republican Senate candidate Eric Hovde joined Tom Zalaski Sunday on "Your Local Election Headquarters."

Hovde is one of several Republicans running for the seat being vaccated by Sen. Herb Kohl. Hovde is new to politics and a bit of an unknown. He launched a statewide ad blitz in April.

While being new to politics, Hovde has vast experience in the financial sector. He says it was the nation's trillion dollar deficit that sparked his interest to run.

Hovde also discussed gasoline prices and health care reform. The video above is Part 2 of his interview with Tom Zalaski.
