State Audit Shows Bridge Inspections Lagging

WMBD/WYZZ-TV—PEORIA--A new state
audit claims I-DOT and local agencies neglected
to inspect more than 1,700 Illinois
bridges.
I-DOT will be repairing the McClugage Bridge for the next two weeks, but
information we've obtained shows inspections on Illinois bridges aren't performed as
often as they should be.
Marines Come Home

The family and friends of 33 Marines celebrate their homecoming today.
After seven months in Iraq, the Marines were met by a cheering crowd at the
Marine Corps Reserve Center just after 11:00 a.m.
School Lockdown

WMBD/WYZZ - PEORIA - A Friday lockdown at Garfield Primary School only lasted a half an hour. The school was locked down after reports of possible shots fired at the adjacent Logan Recreation Center. The school's emergency plan did run smoothly and all students were kept in classrooms until the all clear. The Peoria Police Department and the Park District are investigating the incident.
