BLOOMINGTON - Drunk driving charges against Bloomington cop William McGonigle were dropped Thursday.
McGonigle was pulled over in January for speeding. Prosecutors say the cop that pulled him over could smell alcohol on his breath, but McGinigle refused to take a field sobriety test or a breathalyzer. The prosecutor said he doesnt think he has enough evidence to convict McGinigle of DUI.
McGonigle pleaded guilty to speeding. He was fined and has to go through traffic school.
