A bill to raise the speed limit on interstates to 65 MPH for semi trailer trucks got the green light Monday in the Illinois Senate. That means the bill is now on its way to the governors desk. Three times in the past former Governor Rod Blagojevich vetoed increasing the speed limit. Supporters of the increase say its safer for trucks to move with the flow of traffic while opponents argue faster moving trucks can be more dangerous.
