WMBD/WYZZ – PEORIA – With the warmer, and dryer weather, comes road construction.
Crews will begin work on several Central Illinois streets Monday.

Glen Oak Avenue in Peoria will be closed for two weeks due to crane work for Methodist’s parking deck. Glen Oak will be closed between Main Street and Hamilton Boulevard for two weeks. After that, parts Hamilton Boulevard will be closed for about four months due to a major phase of the Methodist-Hamilton Boulevard project.

Lane reductions will be in effect Monday morning on the Cedar Street Bridge over the former Peoria and Pekin Union Railway switchyard. Those reductions will start at 8:00 a.m. Crews will wrap up their work at 4:00 p.m.

Also starting Monday, the northbound lane of Knoxville Avenue south of Pioneer Parkway will be closed. The lane will reopen Tuesday.
