IWU Kicks Off Multi-Million Dollar Campaign

WMBD/WYZZ – BLOOMINGTON -- Illinois Wesleyan University kicks off its $125 million Capital Campaign with a big donation from two alumni.The Capital Campaign is the largest fundraising effort in the university's history.
Alumni Charles and Joyce Ames gave $25 million to the campaign.
The university wants to raise $125 million over the span of the next five years.
The majority of that money will go toward student scholarships, financial aid, and program endowments. The university's president, Richard Wilson, says $73 million have already been pledged to the campaign.
