New Head of DOC Named

WMBD/WYZZ – SPRINGFIELD -- The state's prison system has a new director.Governor Pat Quinn named Michael Randle, formerly the assistant director for Ohio's prison system, as the new head of the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Randle will take over for Roger Walker, who was appointed by former governor Rod Blagojevich in 2003.
Randle now must win confirmation by the Illinois senate before officially taking over at DOC.
