A bill which could provide more state funding to Peoria School District 150 passed its second reading in the Illinois Senate Tuesday and moved to the Senate floor for a final vote Wednesday. The bill has already passed the Illinois House. The bill, sponsored by Peoria Representative Jehan Gordon could mean almost 200 thousand dollars at a time when the district is facing a large deficit next school year. The legislation would update part of a complicated general state aid formula used to determine how much state funding goes to each school district.
