Prison Inmate Indicted for Local Murder

A 41 year old prison inmate was indicted Wednesday in McLean County for a four year old Bloomington homicide. Tommy Slayton, whose doing time for armed robbery, is now facing a three count murder indictment. Slayton, whose done time for concealing the death of Barry Lewis in 2005, is now charged with murdering him. Lewis body was discovered in the trunk of a stolen car March 7, 2005 after the car was impounded by police. Investigators claim Lewis was strangled to death. Slayton is due in court Friday.
