Body Found in Pekin Lake

WMBD/WYZZ - PEKIN -- The body believed to be a Pekin man missing for over a month is found today.
Pekin Police say 41-year-old Jeffrey McCormick was last seen jumping into Pekin Lake about 3:30 a.m. on March 22. He was fleeing police after a traffic stop.
A body was found this morning just south of where the McCormick had entered the water. Tazewell County Coroner Dennis Conover will perform an autopsy Monday to confirm the identity.
Pekin Police say the body fits McCormick's description.
