WMBD/WYZZ – BLOOMINGTON -- Just 15 votes prevented Teri Renner from becoming the new mayor of Bloomington, and Wednesday he could be asking for a recount.
Absentee and provisional ballots from the April 7th elections were tallied up earlier this month. All counted, Mayor Steve Stockton, came out ahead by 15 votes. Stockton was declared the winner by the Bloomington Election Commission.
But Tari Renner is announcing on Wednesday his plans to start the recount process.
WMBD 31 News will have details on this story as it develops.
