WMBD/WYZZ TV – PEORIA – If you're looking for a job, you're not alone. Local employment assistance groups are launching a new website to help the unemployed find work. PeoriaAreaWorks.com is a joint effort between the Heartland Partnership, ICC, Workforce Network and several other organizations.
In addition to local job postings, the site also has information about up-coming resume writing workshops, job fairs and seminars. Despite recent lay-offs, experts say jobs are out there - they just might require you to gain new skill sets.
