A Ton of Fun at Methodist Medical Center

For the first time, Methodist has organized a weight loss challenge for its employees. The goal is for all the participants to lose a total of a ton of weight.
The man and woman who lose the most weight each win $1,000, so does the
man and woman who lose the highest percentage of weight.
Organizers say since the program started in February, participants have
lost a total of about 1,000 pounds.
“Competition is one thing. People are competitive by nature, so they
compete. The cash prize of $1,000 for four people is a big motivator. And I
think people like the camaraderie,” said Michelle Williams of
The 12-week program will wrap up in May.
