Peorian Held on Drug Charge

A Peoria man, the center of an alleged police beating last May, appeared Friday in Peoria Federal District Court on a drug conspiracy charge. 34 year old Bryce Scott is charged with conspiring to distribute more than 1000 grams of heroin. A federal judge Friday found probable cause and sent the case to the grand jury. Meantime, in a separate matter, three Peoria police officers have been indicted in connection with the alleged beating of Scott following a chase last May.
