Peoria Cop Pleads Not Guilty to Property Damage Charge

A nine year veteran of the Peoria Police Department was indicted Thursday by the Woodford County Grand Jury for an incident last month. 33 year old Joesph Gray pleaded NOT GUILTY to the one count indictment, charging the officer with criminal damage to government property. He was arrested last month by Metamora Police on the criminal damage charge and misdemeanor DUI after police said he rolled his car over on Hickory Point Road on his way home. Metamora Police say while driving Gray to jail, he kicked out a squad car window, and caused 1300 dollars damage to the squad. Gray will be back in court May sixth.
