LeRoy Man Gets 50 Years for Killing Sister-in-law

A LeRoy man, indicted for the murder and rape of his pregnant sister in law, pleaded guilty Wednesday and was sentenced to 50 years in prison. 21 year old Jason Marksteiner pleaded guilty to one count of murder while all other charges were dismissed, including the charge of intentional homicide of an unborn child, as part of the plea agreement. He was accused of killing 19 year old Jodi McGrew at a LeRoy home last year. The coroner says McGrew died of blunt force trauma and strangulation. Authorities say McGrew was in LeRoy at the time of the murder to baby sit her sisters children.
