Kewanee Honors Fallen Soldier

Sergeant Schuyler Patch and three other soldiers died on February 24 in Afghanistan.  Patch's remains were returned to his hometown Thursday afternoon.

Saturday, his family and friends gathered to honor Schuyler with a procession and a private funeral.  The community packed the gymnasium at Wetherfield High School to pay their respects.

“Kewanee has shown that they really respect the service of our soldiers and the service of this hometown soldier.  They have lined the streets to honor Sergeant Patch and his sacrifice for this nation,"
