Former Superintendent Fails to Report Jon White Suspicions

– URBANA - Former Urbana Superintendent Gene Amberg admits he failed to report
his suspicions of child abuse by a teacher to state authorities as required by
law. That teacher, Jon White, is serving
60 years in prison for sexually abusing 2 students in McLean County and 8 in Champaign
County. Amberg is facing a $2,000 fine,18 months of court supervision and 100
hours of community service.
