Quinn Releases Spending Game Plan

– ILLINOIS – In order to save Illinois
some must needed money, Governor Pat Quinn now has a game plan. In a statement released Tuesday the Governor
says he plans to reduce state spending by one percent, cut down on out of state
travel expenses and defer major purchases.
Quinn continues saying the state will not enter into new contracts and will reduce
the number of existing contracts. Open
non essential positions will not be filled.
Governor Quinn says these are important moves to battle Illinois' $9
billion deficit.
