National City Robbery

WMBD/WYZZ TV – PEORIA -- Just days after reporting a spike in armed robberies, yet another Peoria business is hit this afternoon. The National City Bank on West Forrest Hill was robbed shortly before 4 PM. This is the latest in a rash of holdups in the past 30 days in Peoria. Police described the holdup man as a black male, wearing a Chicago Bears Hoodie and brandishing a long barreled gun. After the holdup, the suspect ran south on Institute. K 9 units began searching the neighborhood but so far no one has been taken into custody. More than 20 businesses have been robbed in the past month or so.
