WMBD/WYZZ TV - CLINTON - A Central Illinois man, serving a life sentence
for the drowning deaths of his girlfriend's three children, wants a new trial.Maurice Lagrone Jr. claims his defense attorney made a mistake by not asking for child endangerment as a possible alternative to murder.
Lagrone's girlfriend, Amanda Hamm, was convicted of child endangerment and she is already out of prison.
Lagrone's request for a new trial will be heard February 2nd.
