Illinois Home Sales in February Up 16 Percent

Illinois home sales increased 16.2 percent in February over last year while median prices increased 5.1 percent, according to the Illinois Association of Realtors. Statewide home sales, including single family homes and condominiums) in February totaled 8213, up from 7067 in February last year. The statewide median price in February was $125,000. The association says while the first few months of the year are typically slower , so far the association has seen encouragining numbers. Sale prices in McLean County jumped 5.6 percent.
