Bench Trial for Morton Teen Charged in Two Deaths

The bench trial of a Morton teenager, indicted in connection with the deaths of two Tazewell County men, began Monday. 18 year old Daughlton Calvin chose a judge rather than a jury to hear the case. Calvin is charged with drug induced homicide and unlawful delivery of methadone charges in two separate cases. Both charges stem from the deaths of 22 year old Travis Whiteman of Pekin and 19 year old Cody Schillinger of Morton. Both men died in late May last year after allegedly taking methadone.
