PEORIA HEIGHTS - A community is coming together to support a Chillicothe family who lost their son in a car crash last week.

It happened in Lake County, Florida.

Now a local business is taking action to help bring this loved one home.

The Hair House in Peoria Heights will be holding a benefit "Cut-A-Thon" and bake sale for Drew Bannister's family.

Bannister is one of three victims from the Peoria area killed in a car accident last Wednesday.

Monday, the Hair House is inviting everyone to stop in and get a hair cut for just five dollars.

The money will be used to bring Bannister home, and pay for his funeral arrangements.

Salon owner, Sarah DeVore, said, "Just come in.  There won't be appointments for the day.  Some people may have to wait if we get a group to come in.  We'll stand here and cut hair all day.  As long as the people keep coming, we'll keep cutting hair."

"It's just awesome.," added Drew's father, Brad.  "A Cut-A-Thon for somebody, like I said, I truly cant remember....he was so proud of his hair, and he couldn't cut it.  "Hang Loose".  People who know Drew, this was what he was all about.."

The Cut-A-Thon is from ten to seven.

The Hair House is located at 4107 N. Boulevard Avenue in Peoria Heights.
