Limestone earns third place at State Finals

WMBD/WYZZ-TV STAFF - PEORIA - Limestone brought home some hardware on Saturday afternoon, beating Chicago Orr 58-49 for the third place trophy.
Hank Mathews had a game-high 19 points in the win. Kendall Davis scored 12 points, while Terence Shelby added 10.
Chicago Orr struggled from behind the arc, only hitting 1-of-22 three pointers.
"We went out a winner all 13 of my teammates came out and played their butt off and it was our last time playing together, so we rose to the occation," said Hank Mathews, Limestone Senior.
"It was a great note for us, espically for Limestone high school, you know they never been here before so ending in a 3rd place win is not bad," said Kendall Davis, Limestone Senior.
Limestone Head Coach Eddie Mathews said: "I wanted to see them go out with a big smile and its Kendall Davis 18th birthday gotta give him something for 18, the kids did it they stepped up all year and they did it again today," said Limestone Head Coach Eddie Mathews.
Limestone finished the season with a record of 25-10.
