A Peoria man, arrested in connection with the city's 8th homicide of last year, was sentenced to three years in prison Friday after pleading guilty to a weapons charge, according to court officials. Alex Ferguson pleaded guilty to aggravated unlawful use of a weapon while a more serious charge of involuntary manslaughter was dismissed. Those charges were filed in connection with the shooting of Dwight McCall Junior. McCall was shot in the chest in the 1800 block of West Butler last August.
