PEORIA - Basketball meant good business for downtown restaurants Friday.
Sully's Pub and Cafe was packed with people facing the big screen TVs. Hundreds of people are already in town for the high school boys basketball state championship.
Fans said it's convenient to come down the street from the Civic Center and watch college basketball.
"Early in the day you get to come here you get to watch all the college teams March Madness and later in the day you get to go over and watch IHSA," Luke Jones said.
Sully's said it plans to be packed again on Sunday for St. Patrick's Day festivities.
Managers said they'll set up in Fulton plaza next door, complete with live bands, beer trucks and heaters to combat possible chilly temperatures.
