Simeon Eyes Fourth Straight IHSA Title

WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill. -- Chicago Simeon is all business as it enters Peoria.
The Wolverines hope to be all smiles when they leave.
Simeon (28-3) is two wins away from winning a fourth consecutive state championship. Only Peoria Manual (1994-97) has accomplished the feat in Illinois high school histroy.
"Our goal is to win the next game first. Then win the game after that," said Simeon coach Robert Smith. "Then we will worry about the legacy of four aftger we have completed it. we don't want to start talkingabout it and then it doesn't happen."
The Wolverines play Maywood Proviso East (29-3) in the Class 4A state semifinals friday at 6:45 p.m.
