Pontiac Woman Arrested for Stabbing

A Pontiac woman, found unresponsive at the scene of a stabbing Tuesday, was taken into custody Wednesday at a Bloomington hospital for the crime. 52 year old Carole Raube is beind held in connection with the stabbing of a 76 year old woman on North Street. Police say the victim suffered multiple puncture wounds to the head and neck. Raube is being held on aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon but has yet to be formally charged. She is expected to be in court Thursday. Meantime, Raube, according to court records, is also facing a drug and theft charge in an unrelated case filed in February.
