Armed Male Dies After Being Shot by Bloomington Cop

BLOOMINGTON - A male is dead after being shot by a Bloomington police officer early Wednesday morning.
Police say they were called to a domestic disturbance on Melrose Court around 1:30 a.m. When they arrived, they were confronted by a male subject holding a revolver. A Bloomington officer shot the male. He was taken OSF St. Joseph Medical Center where he later died.
Illinois State Police are investigating. Police are not releasing the name of the victim or the officer involved.
