Peoria Family Can't Join Dunlap School District

PEORIA - A Peoria family can't join Dunlap's school district.
Brad and Jera Deal want their land, just off of north Frye Road, included in Dunlap's district.
The family says when they bought it, they were led to believe it was in Dunlap's school district, but it's actually part of Peoria's District 150.
A special committee unanimously denied their petition to detach, today.
The committee consists of members from both school districts.
There's no home on the property now, but the Deals say they wanted to build their dream house there.
The Deals' children go to Peoria Christian School.
