Good Deed, Big Dream: Justin Bieber Coming to Normal, After Teens Raise Money for Charity

NORMAL - Brace yourself Central Illinois, Bieber fever will soon sweep the Twin Cities.

Pop sensation Justin Bieber is set to visit Epiphany Catholic School in Normal.

Four eighth graders at Epiphany and one at Chiddix Junior High School raised more than $21,000 dollars for "Pencils of Promise."

It's a non-profit organization that supports education in third world countries and the money they collected is enough to build a school.

For every $25 raised, they were entered into a raffle to bring Bieber to town.

The teens say their big news is spreading fast.

"It's really cool to see everyone thanking us and you know people have helped us along the way so it's cool to get the reward for it," said McKenna Crouch.

"Without the community we couldn't have raised this money, because they really donated a lot," added Sarah Thakral.

The students held bake sales, car washes, and went door to door to raise money for Bieber's charity.

The date of his visit has yet to be determined.
