PEORIA - It's out with the old and in with the new at Notre Dame High School in Peoria.

Although a new Pope has not been chosen yet, the Catholic school is preparing for a new leader.

Father Adam Stimpson said his students are spending some time learning the ins and outs of the Papal election.

He said it's a very exciting time for the Catholic faith. "This has been really a fun experience being a priest for the first time and to work with young people as they experience this for the first time and really being able to walk with them as a father figure through the excitement of electing a new pope."

Father Stimpson said many students were hoping for white smoke Tuesday. He said another thing they're hoping for is an American Pope.
