Coalition Pushing Fire Safety Through Sprinkler System

BLOOMINGTON - The Home Fire Sprinkler
Coalition is giving homeowners another way to protect their families against a
fire.
The Coalition says it's on a mission
to educate builders and homeowners about the importance of installing a
sprinkler system.
Project Manager Lisa Woodward said
having a sprinkler system can save your home and your family. She's hoping to
debunk a few myths that many people may think of when they imagine sprinkler
protection. She said, "We wanted to let them know that not all the sprinklers
go off at once. Only the fire sprinkler closest to the fire will go off. Also,
smoke will not activate the sprinkler head, only heat from a fire."
