Normal Police Investigating Attempted Armed Robbery at Kroger

NORMAL - Shots rang out Sunday just
after midnight at the Kroger's grocery store in Normal.
Normal police said a white male
entered the Kroger's on East College Avenue and attempted to rob it.
When the suspect pointed his gun at
the armed security officer, the security officer shot the suspect multiple
times.
Police said the suspect is in the
hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Normal Police are not releasing any
names at this time.
The incident is still under investigation.
