It was part of an event open to the community Saturday as part of the Farm Bureau's Farmer's Share of the Food Dollar Breakfast at Exposition Gardens.
It's so cheap because that's the actual revenue the farmer makes from the produce.
Farm Bureau Chief Patrick Kirchhofer said so few families still farm, that the breakfast is a good way for people to understand agriculture.
"There's 99 percent of our population that is removed from the farm and possibly two to three generations now. We're just trying to give them an opportunity to talk to farmers, learn about agriculture, learn about where their food comes from," Kirchhofer said.
Kirchhofer said Saturday's breakfast served more than 1,500 hungry people.
