Governor Signs Bill to Raise Physician Licensing Fees

Governor Pat Quinn signed a bill Friday to raise physicians' licensing fees to help the state rehire
staff which licenses and investigates doctors. Doctors currently pay 300 dollars for a three year permit but under the new bill, the fee would jump to 700 dollars. The fee hike will continue through June 2018 and then drop to 500 dollars.
