Survey to Determine if Call Center Opens in Peoria

PEORIA - A company is looking to build a Call Center in the River City, but first it wants to know if there's a skilled work force ready to put in the hours.

The company wants people to go online and take a survey, which is linked here.

It's a few questions asking about education and previous customer service and sales experience.

The county says more people taking the survey could raise the chances of the company opening its doors in Peoria.

"What the company plans to do is really make a quick decision thereafter. We don't have a special date or time of when they're going to be doing that but we know it's going to be soon so we're hopeful that we can show a good response from the community and be lucky enough to have this call center and 200 jobs come to the community," said Mark Rothert, Assistant County Administrator for Economic Development.

Rothert said the pay would be about $9 to $10 per hour plus bonus and benefits.
