Bartonville Bank Robber Changes Plea to Guilty

A Pekin man, charged with robbing a Bartonville bank last December of about 2500 dollars, changed his plea to guilty Thursday in Peoria federal court. 30 year old Curtis Beeney entered the blind plea to one count of bank robbery for a holdup at the Better Banks in Bartonville on Garfield. Police arrested Beeney shortly after the robbery at a traffic stop at Airport and Plank Roads. Beeney will be sentenced July 26th.
