A bill to raise physicians licensing fees to help the state rehire staff that licenses and investigates doctors passed the Illinois House Thursday, having already passed the Illinois Senate. Doctors currently pay 300 dollars for a three yeaer permit but under the new bill, the fee would jump to 700 dollars. The proposed fee hike would continue through June 2018 and then drop to 500 dollars.
