Student Who Fired Gun in School Sentenced to Juvenile Prison

MCLEAN COUNTY - The former Normal Community High School Student who pleaded guilty to firing a gun in a classroom is sentenced to juvenile prison.
The incident happened in September. Police say the boy walked into a first hour class with three guns, a hatchet and a two knives. He fired four shots before being disarmed by a teacher.
The boy was sentenced in McLean County court Tuesday afternoon. He'll be in the Department of Juvenile Justice for an undetermined amount of time. He will be released by his 21st birthday.
