EAST PEORIA
- Local leaders are breaking in the city's new Target store in style.
A ribbon
cutting ceremony will take place Friday at 5 p.m. Dave Mingus, East Peoria mayor and other city
leaders will be on-hand.
People in attendance
will have the first chance to tour and shop at the store. The store is a key
part of the city's new-look downtown, and Target says it is ready to start
serving the community.
"You know it's been a
long time coming. We've been working since construction started in June. The
store is up and ready to go. We're just really excited to get guests in the building
and open for business."
The store opens on Wednesday,
and the official grand opening is on Sunday, March 10th.
