Exposition Gardens Ragin' at Canun Fest

PEORIA- Live music was all part of the fun at Cajun Fest Saturday.
Visitors packed into Peorias Exposition Gardens Opera House to catch a piece of the action. People got a taste of Cajun flavor with healthy servings of shrimp etouffe and chicken and sausage gumbo.
It's the first time the Peoria Area Community Events team has held this kind of festival.
"There isn't an event like this in the Peoria area. We have a couple different restaurants here doing New Orleans cajun style food and that's something that is really unique for Peoria. You can't really get a lot of that around here," said organizer Kristen Barger.
Since this was the first annual, Barger said she hopes even more people turn out next year for some Cajun fun
