PEORIA- The Peoria Housing Authority is taking measures to root out discrimination.
The PHA says it wants to make sure no one is denied a fair shot at a place to live. It's teaming up with Tri-County Regional Planning to conduct a survey.
Anyone living in the Tri-County region can stop by the PHA office on South Richard Pryor Place and staff will help you fill out the online form. Nick Hayward from Tri-County Regional Planning said it only takes about 10 minutes and you can stop by during normal hours until March 8th.
"This is a great opportunity for the region because to this point, there has been no no examination of fair housing in the entire Tri-County region, so this is a great opportunity for us to look at urban areas, rural areas in Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford Counties," Hayward said.
If you can't stop by the PHA office, you can also fill out the survey online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/tricountyfairhousing.
