Colonel Robbie Robertson, the 182nd Airlift Wing Commander, said the future is uncertain for more than 200 employees.
He said he's expecting furloughed days for many workers, but nothing has been finalized.
He said any changes will cut back on the base's flying hours and maintaining day to day operations will be a challenge.
He said, "Our people are professionals and they get out there and do the job. We just await guidance from our higher headquarters on exactly what the impact will be."
