WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill. -- Four seniors will play their final regular season home games at Bradley Wednesday night.
But only one grew up in Peoria.
"You really don't understand how fast this whole process is, how fast the years go by until you're at your last game," said guard Dyricus-Simms Edwards. "I'm here now and it hasn't hit me that this is my last game."
Simms-Edwards, a Peoria-native, could be playing his final game ever at Carver Arena when the Braves host Creighton on senior night. He isn't alone.
Fellow seniors Jake Eastman, Will Egolf, and Milos Knecevic will be honored prior to the game.
"It's an abrupt end. After that, it's never the same, never gonna have this tight-nit, close group of guys," said Eastman. "Even if you play professionally. it's not the same."
