Cal MacKay Takes Over Heartland Partnership

There's a familiar face in charge of Peoria's Heartland Partnership. Cal MacKay is now the permanent CEO after serving as the interim leader since August. MacKay accepted the position earlier this month. Former CEO Jim McConoughey stepped down after a study suggested major changes were needed in the organization. The Heartland Partnership Board of Directors Chairman says MacKay has been instrumental in guiding the organization through a difficult period to align the group with their new regional economic development plan.
