A Twin Cities grass roots racer is getting some national recognition.
Bloomington's Jason Feger is 1 of 15 finalists in the search for a Champion racing sponsorship contest. He was selected from more than 160 racers and teams who submitted a two-minute video entry. Feger has already won $5,000 for being a finalist, and now has a chance to go for thousands more in the grand prize.
"Very few people would have a $50,000 sponsorship so it is a huge deal. Champion gears towards grass roots racers. Guys that need the money, guys that are not out there and I fit right in there." says Feger.
The winner will be announced on April second.
