A federal appeals court Friday turned down a request by Illinois' Attorney General to reconsider
a ruling by a three judge panel which found the state's concealed carry weapons ban
unconstitutional and gave the legislature six months to craft a new law. Lawmakers are now working
on that new legislation which would allow citizens to carry with restrictions. The state can now
appeal to the U S Supreme Court.
